Swee Lian Tan, MD, PhD, FACS Swee Lian Tan, MD, PhD, FACS

Dr. Tan is a board-certified vascular surgeon with over 25 years experience in treating patients with peripheral vascular disease, critical limb ischemia, and aortic and venous disease. She has been seeing patients in the Puget Sound region and on the Olympic Peninsula for two decades. After working in multi-specialty clinics for many years, she founded Vascular & Surgical Care Northwest in 2012, so that patients with vascular disease were the focus of the entire organization.

She is a graduate of the Harvard Medical School and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and trained at leading Harvard-affiliated hospitals in Boston, as well as in Philadelphia. She is board certified in general surgery and vascular surgery.

Beyond treating patients, Dr. Tan focuses on educating patients and other physicians on managing vascular disease, medically, through exercise, and with surgery or endovascular procedures where necessary. This effort has been recognized. She was awarded Swedish Medical Center’s Surgical Resident Teaching award twice, has been listed as one of Seattle Magazine’s Top Docs in Vascular Surgery for many years, and has had several surgical training videos accepted by the American College of Surgeons for their training library.

Amy H. Coulter, MD has left our practice, and we have closed our Bellevue office.  For patients of Dr. Coulter's who wish to remain with our practice, we are happy to arrange for you to see Dr. Tan in our Seattle office.   If you wish to transfer your care to another vascular surgeon, please let us know and we will help facilitate it.
